In today's world as we all are aware of the fact that there are a lot of tests and checks that a married couple takes or have to undergo compulsorily if not, other than the useless "horror-scope" ritual that they go through in Indian society.
In the ongoing awareness age, couples in consultation with their family doctors do undergo several tests pre-post marriage and pre-post pregnancy. But due to sheer lack of knowledge it has been frequently found out in survey, that hardly, except the lucky few undergo the THALLASEMIA test.
As alien the name might sound, this is one of the most deadliest of all diseases, taking millions of lives worldwide.
It is a genetic disorder which effects the child of couples carrying the trait.
